Hollywood Walk of Fame
The Hollywood Walk of Fame is an instantly recognizable piece of entertainment history, with stars honoring performers along Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street. It works best as a stroll and photo stop; if you have a particular name in mind, locate that star on the official map first.
Griffith Observatory
Perched above Los Angeles, Griffith Observatory offers sweeping views of the city and the Hollywood Sign. Its architecture, space exhibits, and beautiful sunset light make it one of the city’s most memorable places to visit and photograph
Universal Studios Hollywood
Universal Studios Hollywood brings the world of movies beyond the screen, combining themed environments, thrilling rides, and its famous Studio Tour. It is a lively place filled with scenes and experiences inspired by familiar films and television stories.
Santa Monica & Venice Beach
Santa Monica Pier is one of coastal California’s most recognizable scenes, with its Ferris wheel, sandy beach, and the Pacific stretching out around it. A stroll along the pier feels relaxed and lively, especially as sunset approaches
Las Vegas Strip
The Las Vegas Strip is the perfect introduction to the city: an evening walk past glowing resorts, casinos, restaurants, and extravagant themed architecture. Take your time around Bellagio, Paris Las Vegas, and The Venetian to soak up the atmosphere and capture the lights after dark.
Fremont Street Experience
Fremont Street shows you a different side of Vegas in Downtown, where the Viva Vision canopy stretches over the pedestrian street. Come at night for the overhead visuals, music, crowds, and older casinos—a livelier, less polished contrast to the Strip.
Fountains of Bellagio
The Fountains of Bellagio turn a simple sidewalk stop into a show, with jets of water moving in time with music in front of the hotel. Watching is free and especially striking after dark; afterward, step inside to see the seasonal displays at the Bellagio Conservatory
Sphere
The Sphere is one of modern Las Vegas’s most recognizable sights, thanks to its enormous exterior display and constantly changing visuals. It is worth seeing from outside, but for the full experience, look for a show or concert that matches your interests and travel dates.
High Roller
The High Roller observation wheel at the LINQ Promenade gives you a different perspective on the Strip from above. Choose an evening ride if you want photos of the city lights, and plan on buying a ticket.
Neon Museum
At the Neon Museum, vintage signs from Las Vegas casinos and businesses fill an outdoor space that tells the city’s story through its most distinctive visual language. It is a particularly good stop for photography and retro-design fans; check ticket availability before you go
Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign
The “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign is the classic photo stop that instantly says, “I was in Vegas.” It sits south of the central Strip, so it works best as a quick stop on your route rather than a trip of its own; visiting is free.
Calico Ghost Town
Calico Ghost Town adds a completely different scene to the Vegas–LA road trip: dusty streets, old wooden buildings, and a glimpse into California’s silver-mining past
Warner Bros. Studio
Warner Bros. Studio takes you behind the camera, through sets, production spaces, and locations connected to films and television series. Unlike a theme park, the focus here is on how the stories we watch on screen come to life
Malibu
Malibu reveals a quieter side of the Los Angeles area, with coastal roads, open Pacific views, and beaches shaped by surf culture. A stop at Malibu Pier and a walk by the water bring the feeling of a classic California road trip to your day
Hollywood Sign
The Hollywood Sign rises above the city’s hills and remains one of Los Angeles’s best-known symbols. Its white letters against the natural landscape deserve a photo of their own, even if you see the sign on the same outing as Griffith Observatory
La Jolla Cove, San Diego
La Jolla Cove is a small inlet framed by rocky cliffs, with Pacific views that feel worlds away from the streets of Los Angeles. Follow the coastal path for photos and, if you spot sea lions nearby, enjoy watching them from a distance without approaching them. It makes a memorable introduction to San Diego.
Thirteen days, mapped out.
Day by Day
Day 1 30/08 · The big meetup
The journey begins in parallel from Athens and Larnaca. Both routes connect at Heathrow for the flight to Las Vegas, where the city’s lights replace the long hours in the air. The first evening marks the arrival in America and the beginning of a journey that will end on the Pacific coast.
Day 2 31/08 · The Strip
The Las Vegas Strip is at its most spectacular after sunset. Illuminated resorts, the Fountains of Bellagio, the futuristic Sphere, and panoramic views from the High Roller bring together the sights that have made the city famous.
Day 3 01/09 · Neon & Downtown
The iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign sets the tone for a day of unmistakable Vegas sights. At the Neon Museum, historic signs recall earlier eras of the city, while Fremont Street fills Downtown with color, music, and energy.
Day 4 02/09 · Free day in Vegas
A day without a fixed route leaves room for whichever side of Las Vegas appeals most: shopping, pools, extravagant resorts, and the atmosphere of its casinos. In the evening, an optional Vegas show reflects a city where spectacle is part of its identity
Day 5 03/09 · Hoover Dam & Calico
After check-out, the journey begins early in the morning for the longest drive of the trip. The Hoover Dam makes a striking desert stop before Calico Ghost Town changes the scene with wooden buildings and Old West atmosphere. The road then continues to Los Angeles, where the second chapter of the journey begins
Day 6 04/09 · Hollywood at your pace
The first free day in Los Angeles offers a chance to discover Hollywood without a set route. The Walk of Fame celebrates names from film, music, and television, while West Hollywood and the Sunset Strip reveal the area’s livelier after-dark character
Day 7 05/09 · Universal Studios Hollywood
At Universal Studios Hollywood, the world of movies becomes a full day of exploration. Themed environments, rides, and the Studio Tour combine movie fantasy with a look at the places where films are made.
Day 8 06/09 · Griffith & Hollywood Sign
High above the city, Griffith Observatory offers panoramic views of Los Angeles and one of the most recognizable perspectives on the Hollywood Sign. Afternoon light over the sprawling city creates one of the journey’s most cinematic scenes
Day 9 07/09 · Warner Bros. Studio Tour
The Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Burbank takes the experience from the screen to the places behind a production. Sets, backlots, and filmmaking stories offer a different perspective on Hollywood, closer to how films and television series are created
Day 10 08/09 · Santa Monica, if you like
The second free day leaves Los Angeles open-ended. Santa Monica Pier is a coastal suggestion combining Pacific Park’s colorful Ferris wheel, the beach, and the Pacific Ocean—especially beautiful as sunset approaches
Day 11 09/09 · Malibu
Malibu brings the rhythm of coastal California to the journey. Pacific views, beaches, and Malibu Pier make this a slower day with more time for the shoreline and scenery.
Day 12 10/09 · San Diego: La Jolla Cove
The San Diego day trip centers on La Jolla Cove, where rocky cliffs frame the Pacific. Its scenery reveals another side of Southern California and provides a coastal finale before the return to Los Angeles.
Day 13 11/09 · Journey home
The final day in Los Angeles has no planned visits. After check-out, a transfer leads to LAX and BA268 to Heathrow, where the routes separate again for Athens and Larnaca

Must Have
- Biometric (electronic) passport valid for the entire stay
- Approved ESTA travel authorization (Visa Waiver Program), or a US visa where required
A few things worth knowing.
Good to Know
- 📱WhatsApp Group: A few days before departure, we'll create our official WhatsApp group! There we'll get to know each other, answer any last-minute questions, and stay in direct, live contact about the daily program and meeting points during the trip.
- 🛂 ESTA & Passport: Apply for your ESTA online at least 72 hours before departure, though applying weeks in advance is safer. Only use the official US government website (esta.cbp.dhs.gov). Your passport must be electronic (biometric).
- 🏥 Travel Insurance: Medical care in the USA is extremely expensive. We strongly recommend travel insurance with full medical coverage.
- 💵 Currency & Payments: The local currency is the US Dollar (USD). Cards are accepted almost everywhere, but carry some cash for tips and small purchases.
- 💁 Tipping Culture: Tipping is expected in the USA. In restaurants, it's usually 18–20% of the bill. Also note that sales tax is added at checkout, so prices on shelves don't include it.
- 🏨 Resort Fees: Most Las Vegas hotels charge a daily resort fee, paid directly at the hotel. It isn't included in the package price.
- 🔌 Plugs & Electrical Devices: You'll need an adapter! The USA uses Type A/B plugs and 120V. Check that your chargers support 100–240V (most phone and laptop chargers do).
- 🕐 Time Difference: Los Angeles and Las Vegas are 10 hours behind Greece and Cyprus. Prepare for some jet lag on the first day!
- ☀️ Weather & Clothing: The desert sun is strong, so bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat, and drink plenty of water. Pack a light jacket too, since evenings can be cool and indoor air conditioning is often very strong.
- 🎰 Age Limits: You must be 21 or older to gamble or drink alcohol in the USA. Keep your ID with you!
- 🤝 Group & Vibes: The trip is all about team spirit, good vibes, being on time for our meetups and an appetite for exploration!
